  1. Adaptive Sports Open Gym - Wheelchair Basketball

    Winter Special Olympics on January 9th, 10th and 11th, 2017. For more information, contact the Iowa Special Olympics at http://soiowa.org. The Leisure Services Department is sponsoring FREE Adaptive Sports Open Gym programs. Come learn about all the possibilities of Adaptive Sports in a fun non-competitive, yet challenging environment. Each month we will feature one sport where participants will be taught the fundamentals of the sport. Target population is children and adults who have a physical disability and who want to learn how to play adaptive sports. This program is open to EVERYONE, whether you have a disability or not, and all ages are welcome. Bring your family and friends! There are a limited number of sports chairs available. Please contact Aulanda for more information at 563-495-1575. NOTE: Featured sports are subject to change.
